FEBRUARY FREE RIDE WEEK 

An exciting new group program is introduced this winter in Verbier  
Maximum of 7 riders per week - Monday to Friday


Freeride week is aimed those who want to learn how to ride off-piste safely with confidence. This intense weekday long group program will dive in to 3 main categories.

Mountain safety : How to recognise issues before they arise. How to find and rescue an individual in an event of an accident.  
Off piste technique : How to ski parallel in the powder, how to jump your first off-piste bump to larger rock faces.
FreeStyle : From sliding on boxes to rails and how to do your first 180, 360 or back-flip in the snow park so that it can be implemented off-piste!

What to expect in the week  
Expected to change with weather conditions and snow quality.

Monday :
9am - Introduction is always first as you will encounter new faces in the program and hopefully make riding buddies.
Equipement check is very important as safety is our number one priority in this program.
Warm up exercises and group level and ability check.
1 Hour for your lunch break 
Afternoon of Off piste technique - Mougules, Narrow corridors, Jumps and more!

Tuesday :
9am Equipment check - Safety first!
Morning of Off piste Technique - Mougules, Narrow corridors, Jumps, powder hunting and more!
1 Hour for your lunch break 
​Freestyle introduction - SnowPark safety, Jump introduction, Skiing backwards.

Wednesday : 
9am Equipment check - Safety first!
Morning of Off piste Technique - Mougules, Narrow corridors, Jumps, powder hunting and more!
1 Hour for your lunch break 
Mountain Safety introduction and Mountain rescue! What to do and what to expect.

Thursday :
9am Equipment check - Safety first!
Morning of Off piste Technique - Mougules, Narrow corridors, Jumps, powder hunting and more!
1 Hour free for your lunch break 
​Freestyle introduction - SnowPark safety, Jump introduction, Skiing backwards.

Friday : 
9am Equipment check - Safety first!

Morning of Off-piste competition introduction. Line choice, Fluidity, Airtime and style.
1 Hour for your lunch break 
Afternoon of competition in the group.

Mandatory Safety Equipment

​Everyone attending this course is required by law to carry the following items:
​
  1. Ski bag with waist strap.
  2. Beeper / Tranciever - with more than 70% battery life.
  3. Shovel and Probe.
  4. A Helmet.
  5. A Back Protector. (Optional)

Everything on this list can easily be renting as a package from a ski shop in town.

What to bring?

​Aside from your everyday ski gear, we recommend:
​
  1. A fully charged telephone is advised - Telephone charger too!
  2. Sun Screen and proper eye protection from the sun is vital from the sun rays. 
  3. An extra layer and a face buff for the stormy days.
  4. Snacks are always a good idea on long off piste days.
  5. Some water is great but we will have time to stop to buy some too.
  6. ​Money for the meal over lunch or a packed lunch.

Please prepare your day bag the night before.
